The app proactively sends notifications during rain forecasts, alerting users when it is advisable to wait and when it is safe to continue regular water use. This feature enables residents to plan accordingly during significant rainfall events that are characteristic of New York City's weather patterns.

It is essential to understand the mechanics of wastewater management; when we engage in daily activities such as laundry, showering, or flushing toilets, this wastewater enters the sewer system. Heavy rainfall complicates matters, as rainwater inundates the sewers simultaneously.
